Nothing more interesting than NFL Draft?

At time of writing, nine of the top ten searches on google relate to the NFL draft. Is there nothing more interesting going on right now?

Look up the top ten searches on google trends right now (http://google.com/trends) and you will find that nine of the top ten searches are related to the NFL draft.

Amazing! And the one of the ten that is not about the NFL draft is not about Ron Paul. It's not even about Hillary Clinton, John McCain, or Barack Obama. It's about Christa Helm, an actress who was murdered 31 years ago.

Now I can understand that the U.S. presidential election is not that exciting right now-it's been going on for more than a year already for Pete's sake! But aren't there at least eight issues other than the NFL draft and a thirty year old murder case to fill the top ten?

Here are eight other pressing issues from the top of my head-the War in Iraq, the earthquakes in Reno, global warming, the Olympics, May Day, Mother's Day, Bloomsday, and spring break 2008.

I'm sure you can think of search terms even more worthy of the public's attention. Feel free to list them in comments below.

Not regarding important issues:  How did Christa Helm get so searched? I've never heard of her.

We learn the truth that most people are not political. Politics is depressing, confrontational, and boring to those who do not want to get engaged by it. This is why Centrism works. Next Question?
